The divine teachings of Noble Drew Ali encouraged the apprentice and pure seeker of self-mastery to embrace the universal truths that create balance and unity between man and his environment. These natural aspects of infinite wisdom, provided by adept visionaries, sages and prophets, exist as evolutionary guidelines to resolve conflicts and differences for the purpose of spirit evolution and the achievement of the “Oneness of ALLAH.” One of the Moorish keys to knowledge, left in code by Noble Drew Ali, was his statement, “we honor all of the true and divine Prophets: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha and Confucius.” This statement pointed out the similar aims and mission of the pure and fundamental teachings of the ancient wisdom which encouraged and emphasized a higher consciousness development in Man. The spiritual goal of each divine messenger is the active expression of peace and harmony. This expression, however, is first manifested within one’s self, and then released into the social area of the human existence.

This article will display the similarities and teachings of oneness that exist between the true and divine prophets as pointed out by Noble Drew Ali. As previously stated, the keys to understanding are encoded in the ancient and mystic teachings of Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha and Confucius. Within the sacred sayings and text of these true and divine prophets are the essential elements, themes and methods for spirit progression and mastery. The following passages will display the divine truths that are shared between the four spiritual systems presented by the four teachers that were highlighted by Noble Drew Ali. It is important to demonstrate the universal aspects of these spiritual systems and how the revealed teachings of Noble Drew Ali were in accord with these teachings and not some “hodgepodge” collection of irrational religious ideals. With a complete study of Moorish Science, the “Oneness” of being and the “Oneness” of principle is revealed and engrained within the psyche of the apprentice of self-mastery.

The Universal Principles of “Oneness”

Regarding the expression of peace and universal goodwill

• Christianity - “Do unto others as you have them do unto you, for this is the law of the prophets.”

• Islam - “Do unto all men as you would they should unto you, and reject for others what you would reject for yourself.”

• Buddhism - “Hurt not others with that which pains yourself.”

• Confucianism - “Tzu Kung asked: “Is there any one principle upon which one’s whole life may proceed?” Confucius replied: “Is not reciprocity such a principle? - what you do not yourself desire, do not put before others.”

• Moorish Science - “They will not do to other men what they would not have other men do unto them.”

Regarding the love for others (neighbors)

• Christianity - “Honor your father and mother, and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

• Islam - No one is a believer until he loves his neighbor, and for his brother, what he loves for himself.”

• Buddhism - “Full of love for all things in the world, practicing virtue in order to benefit others, this man alone is happy.”

• Confucianism - “Seek to be in harmony with all your neighbors; live in amity with your brethren.”

• Islam - “A man asked the Prophet what was the mark whereby a man might know the reality of his faith. He said, ‘If thou derive pleasure from the good which thou hast done, and be grieved for the evil which thou hast committed, thou art a true believer.”

• Buddhism - “The virtuous man delights and rejoices when he sees the good results of his own work.”

• Confucianism - “Better than the one who knows what is right is he who loves what is right.”

• Moorish Science - “As the branches of a tree return their sap to the root, from whence it arose; as a river poureth its streams to the sea, whence the spring was supplied; so the heart of a grateful man delighteth in returning a benefit receiveth.”

Regarding the creation of one’s own destiny

• Christianity - “He shall reward every man according to his own work.”

• Moorish Science - “ALLAH never made a heaven for man; He never made a hell; we are creators and make our own.”

• Islam - “With knowledge man rises to the heights of goodness and a noble position, associates with the sovereigns of this world, and attains the perfection of happiness in the next world.”

• Confucianism - “Men of superior mind busy themselves first with getting at the root of things; when they succeed, the right course is open to them.”

• Moorish Science - “But the wise man cultivates his mind with knowledge; the improvement of the arts is his delight, and their utility to the public crowneth with honor.”

Regarding the blessing of charity

• Christianity - “Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.”

• Islam - “The Prophet said: “Give in charity and do not withhold it, otherwise ALLAH will withhold it back from you.”

• Buddhism - “As a full jar overflowing pours out the liquid and keeps back nothing, even so shall your charity be without reserve as a jar overturned.”

• Confucianism - “Charity belongs to the most honorable nobility of Heaven, and is the quiet home where man should dwell.”

• Moorish Science - “Happy is the man who hath sown in his breast the seeds of benevolence; the produce thereof shall be charity and love.”

Regarding the honor of the elderly

• Christianity - “Rebuke not an elder, but treat him as a father.”

• Islam - “To honor an old man is to show respect for ALLAH.”

• Buddhism - “he who greets and constantly reveres the aged, four things will increase to him; life, beauty, happiness and power.”

• Confucianism - “Treat with reverence due to age the elders in your own family.”

• Moorish Science - “Go to the desert, my son; observe the young stork of the wilderness; let him speak to thy heart; he beareth on his wings his aged sire, he lodgeth him in safety, and supplieth him with food….Forget not thy helpless infancy, nor the forwardness of they youth, and indulge the infirmities of thy aged parents, assist and support them in the decline of life.”

Regarding speaking the truth

• Christianity - “Putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.”

• Islam - “Do not clothe the truth with falsehood; do not knowingly conceal the truth.”

• Buddhism - “Say what is true! Do thy duty. Do not swerve from the truth.”

• Confucianism - “Sincerity is the way of heaven, and to think how to be sincere is the way of man. Never was there one possessed of complete sincerity who did not move others. Never was there one without sincerity who was able to move others.”

• Moorish Science - “Hath he endowed the with wisdom? Hath he enlightened thy mind with the knowledge of truth? Communicate it to the ignorant, for their instruction; communicate it the wise, for thine own improvement.”

Regarding the honor of thy father and thy mother

• Christianity - “For God commanded, saying, Honor thy father and mother.”

• Islam - “Serve and revere your parents. Heaven is spread beneath the feet of mothers everywhere.”

• Buddhism - “To support Father and Mother, To cherish Wife and Child, To follow a peaceful calling, This is the greatest blessing.”

• Confucianism - “If each man would love his parents and show due respect to his elders, the whole empire would enjoy tranquility.”

• Moorish Science - “The covenant of the great God-ALLAH: Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be longer upon the earth land, which the Lord they God, ALLAH hath given thee!”

Regarding truth being universal

• Christianity - “All scriptures is inspired by God, and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

• Islam - “We believe in ALLAH, and that which hath been sent down to us, and that which hath been sent down to Abraham…and that which hath been given to Moses and to Jesus, and that which was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any them: and to ALLAH are we resigned.”

• Buddhism - “Do not decry other sects, do not deprecate others, but rather honor whatever in them is worth of honor.”

• Confucianism - “Truth does not depart from human nature, If what is regarded as truth departs from human nature, it may not be regarded as truth.”

• Moorish Science - “Truth is the only thing that changes not. In all the world there are two things: the one is truth, the other is falsehood.”

This display of infinite wisdom demonstrates the connectedness humanity has regarding a truth that remains durable, despite man’s attempt to divide and separate the ancient knowledge of “Oneness.” It should now be understood that the common link in man transcends the narrow boundaries of exoteric and mundane religion. Moorish Holy Koran 10:13-25

13. All people worship Allah, the One; but all the people see Him not alike.

14. This universal Allah is wisdom, will and love.

15. All men see not the Triune Allah. One sees Him as Allah of might; another as Allah of thought; another as Allah of love.

16. A man’s ideal is his God, and so, as man unfolds, his God unfolds. Man’s God today, tomorrow is not God.

17. The nations of the earth see Allah from different points of view, and so He does not seem the same to every one.

18. Man names the part of Allah he sees, and this to him is all of Allah; and every nation sees a part of Allah, and every nation has a name for Allah.

19. You Brahmans call Him Parabrahm; in Egypt he is Thoth; and Zeus is His name in Greece, Jehovah is His Hebrew name; but everywhere He is the causeless cause, the rootless root from which all things have grown.

20. When men are afraid of Allah and take Him for a foe, they dress up other men in fancy garbs and call them priests.

21. And charge them to restrain the wrath of Allah by prayers and when they fail to win His favour by their prayers, to buy Him off with sacrifice of animals or birds.

22. When man sees Allah as one with him, as Father Allah, he needs no middle man, no priest to intercede.

23. He goes straight up to Him and says, ‘My Father God, Allah!’ and then he lays his hand in Allah’s own hand, and all is well.

24. And this is Allah. You are, each one, a priest, just for yourself; and sacrifice of blood Allah does not want.

25. Just give your life in sacrificial service to all of life, and Allah is pleased.”

A most important instrument regarding the complex structure of Man is the vehicle termed the heart. The question may arise about the location and functionality of the heart, but just as man struggles with the intricacies of the soul, so he also struggles with understanding the heart center and its reflective qualities that link to the vibrational device of the mind. The heart instrument, during the sacred evolutionary process that takes place within the womb, is the first to be formed in the organ structure of the Asiatic creation. This fact, known by scientists, reveals the mystic truth that the heart is the beginning center of form and is the location of seed of perfection (spirit) in Man. This dimension of truth suggests that within the depths of the heart center lays the divine spark that animates and connects all in existence and beyond. This is supported by the Moorish teachings that state that the closest place to find ALLAH is within the heart of Man, which represents the deepest and most sacred aspect of Man.

Through constant study of self, the Moorish Scientist learns to consider the devotion of the esoteric heart center as the most important place to develop for spiritual realization. This is supported by the ancient parables that teach how the posession of a calcified heart center closes Man from ALLAH because he closes himself from his fellow Man. This is expressed in the Gnostic texts of 1 John 4:20-21 when it says – “If someone says, “I Love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.” As encouraged by the teachings of Noble Drew Ali, the statement of “learn to love instead of hate” has a greater meaning to the adept seeking admittance into the mysteries of higher consciousness evolution.

Love, the primordial substance of eternal life, is not found in any exterior temple of Man on the Earth plane nor does it dwell in the atmospheric heavens above, but it is found in the depths of the inner sanctum sanctorum of Man. The “light of the world” is the Asiatic lantern that burns with the oil of patience, understanding and self-sacrifice. The question then arises, “whom should man love and in what manner should man love?” The action of “Love” is expressed by man’s intent to draw himself/herself closer to the vibration of love, whether it be through the love of art, social service, music, the study of nature, psychology or the universe. The excuse is first created by an intoxication of feeling or attraction, but with training, guidance, and instruction, that energy is then directed not to the physical entity or expression, but to the underlying nucleus of all that exists: ALLAH.

The first lesson, for Man, is the awakening of the heart center and the magnetic flow of its inner expression. This becomes the purification process by which the heart is cleansed, as it exercises the activeness of love and divine intent. The infinite dimensions of the heart acts as a vehicle for the Asiatic creations to see the inner and outer worlds of the hierarchical command – John 12:2 “In my Father’s house are many mansions…” However, the mystic adept knows, as fact, that the science of the “giving of one’s self” is the ultimate expression of “Love” as the title of “Moslem” is esoterically defined as “one who submits to the Universal Laws of ALLAH through the divine expression of Love;” for how else could one submit to the will of the Most High God, but without first “Loving” ALLAH without the fear of the demise of the ego-self. This is the initiatic state of transforming from “submitting the will of ALLAH” to “becoming the will of ALLAH.” This is the esoteric symbolism of tithing as there is nothing else to give ALLAH other than yourself.

This “Will” is esoterically revealed in the Quran of Mecca when it says “kun faya kun,” be and it became. This action of the above mentioned phenomena represents how manifestation came into existence as an answer to the “Will” that expressed itself in the logos of “Be.” This phenomena not only exemplifies the origin of creation, but the “being” of creation and its manifestation (s). That power remains latent within the occult heart chamber of Man: the dwelling place of ALLAH.

Through the study of the spiritual dimensions of psychology, the adept learns to recognize its Overself counterpart, the preexistent higher intelligence within the seven vehicles of the Overself hierarchy. This area in the initiatic experience allows the pure ones to acclimate them selves with the photonic language of geometric programs, which connects the signature frequency of pure love with the many spiritual vehicles working with the divine programs of ALLAH that act as food for the higher vehicles of consciousness. The blossoming process of the mystic rose, in essence, symbolizes the unfolding of the heart center in Man. As Man works upward on onward to his/her hour of graduation, the body of Truth, vibrating to the signature frequency of Ana l’ Haqq, transforms Man into a living scroll of truth, charged with light to be delivered to the throne of ALLAH. This is the purpose of Love.

This is nothing romantic, nothing passive, delicate or weak; but something with divine coordinates to the most power, majestic and noble expression in the known and unknown Universe – this is the “action” of Moorish Science.

The initiation methodology of ancient Moorish Science was designed to provide the necessary instruction and guidance for the use of the tools that would lead the apprentice toward mastery of the physical, mental/psyche (soul) and spiritual planes. These keys, for the higher functions and laws of the universe, were imprinted, via frequency, into the minds of the adepts to foster the understanding of the greater gnosis that created, governed and guided the universe and its cosmic cycles. The elect, of the “visible order” of the “Revealers of Light,” that encompassed this great body of knowledge were termed, by the ancients, “the ones that death had forgotten.” Names and titles for these elect illuminaries differed depending upon the language and degree (phase of consciousness) earned by worthy initiates and adepts of the Mysteries of ALLAH. An example of this can be found in the title and seat of Melchizedek and Imhotep. In Hebrew, Melchizedek is defined as the King of Righteousness and Peace (Hebrews 7:1-3), just as Imhotep is defined in the Khemite (Egyptian) mysteries as the King of Peace. This seat, power and title, like most attainment phases in the “Hierarchical Command,” is available for those worthy entities that have completed their phase work in their respective consciousness quadrants. This is evidenced by the (allegorical) initiation of Yehoshua (Jesus) the Christ into the ancient order of Melchizedek as mentioned in the book of Hebrews 7:15-24.

As revealed in the previously mentioned biblical verses, it is noted that Yehoshua (Jesus) was documented as having taken an oath. Unlike the mundane oath and obligations taken by those of the “lower life” degree system, the ancient oath referred to in the Universe Mysteries, obligates the initiate to not divulge or transmit the higher “programs of ALLAH” contained in select cosmic keys; as it could be detrimental to the lesser consciousness entities; for the knowledge of the greater gnosis could cause the lesser consciousness entities to place themselves on the path of self destruction. An example of this is seen in the movie “Bruce Almighty” when Jim Carry’s character misused the godlike power, as given to him by Morgan Freeman (God), for personal and selfish gain. The character’s lack of concern for divine order and cosmic law caused calamitous events, disharmony and imbalance as he was not responsible enough to handle such power with just action and just thinking.

Therefore, all must be governed by their karmic “cable tow” to follow their instructions as described in their cosmic job description. As one transmutes into their ministerial garment of light, the vibrational requirement (oath) must be maintained for their actions and deeds constantly calibrate and determine their worthiness to possess such power and status.

Regarding the symbolic nature of the ancient teachings; it must be known that the mystic instruction manuals were written with an allegorical nature. Therefore, allegorically speaking, a cosmic function of ALLAH may sometimes be identified, by Masons, as “The Grand Architect of the Universe.” With this in mind, it is now understood why those masterfully operating with the tools of the workshop of the mind, are termed, in ancient text, carpenters, temple builders and craftsmen. These symbolic and esoteric titles are referenced to the architectonic administrators that reveal and build with the light geometries that contain encoded message programs for the Asiatic seeds of the planetary worlds and celestial communities. In connection with “The Grand Architect Of The Universe,” one of ALLAH’s many divine and cosmic functions, it is easily seen how the carpenter and temple builder act upon the blueprints and geometric plans of the architect; therefore, the operative term of Mason applies to the scientists that act upon the divine plans of the infinite and omniscient architect.

As veiled in the Coptic Gnostic Egyptian text, the term Phre-Messen (Freemason) meant “Sons of Light.” These “Sons of Light” are the same divine entities identified in the Moorish Holy Koran as the “Revealers of Light.” The ancient super scientists were the ones that left the Earth with codes written in astrological ideographs, sacred language hieroglyphs and codified measurements and mathematical ratios. This is evidenced by the Holy Koran of Mecca being coded with the mystic number 19 which is connected with the great pyramid and other great structures of the galaxy, which are encoded with the mystic mark of 19.5 degrees.

As demonstrated and hidden within the great and sacred text of this Earth, the greater gnosis of the “higher life intelligence” was never lost, but veiled in code from those that were “ruffian” in mind. The operative science of the “Revealers of Light” was designed to teach the initiate how to press past the material boundaries to free him/herself from the prison of matter and the wheel of Karma (Zodiacal Wheel) to further ascend and connect themselves to the greater universal temple as a “Perfect Ashlar” within the temple’s structure. Under the umbrella of Moorish Science is the department, currently known as Masonry in this age and time. However, the Masonry of today does not reflect the higher life intelligence gnosis, as that science, ancient Masonry was and is for the liberation of the spiritual Man from the fetters of flesh, not for the subjugation and suppression of the ancient wisdom to oppress the minds of masses from self mastery and planetary ascension.

The greater gnosis and instruction from the hierarchical command was and is available for those that are willing to submit to the cosmic laws of ALLAH and surrender to the divine path of the higher intelligence, contained in “Self.” However, it must be known that greater gnosis is only bestowed upon the eager and willing adepts that are loyal and disciplined enough to “earn” that level of knowledge, as nothing comes without a price, test or process of distillation. To be deemed worthy to manifest and carry the message of the greater gnosis of ALLAH, the apprentice must first experience the greatest of all mysteries: The Job Mysteries.
