“The Struggle to Righteousness”

In our series regarding the Job Mysteries, we have dialogued about Job’s initiation into the true divine position of “righteousness”. (If you haven’t followed this series, start here.) We have briefly analyzed Job’s fears and how these fears currently relate to the lives of men and women: Job. In this part of the series, we will explore the youthful listner and observer, identified in the book of Job as “Elihu”.

Blake's Illustrations for the Book of JobUnlike Job’s three friends (Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar), which represented three states of conscious contemplation, Elihu, the wise and observant listener provides Job with tools and essential elements to redeem himself and prove himself worthy of the title “righteous”. In the mysteries of Job, Elihu represented the ever-present and immutable spirit self that activates the inner (pineal) to see the true aspects of self and reality. Through careful spiritual insight (inner vision), Job was able to recognize how the outer man based his esteem on outer acts of self-righteousness; however, it was realized that the acts that cultivated love and wisdom were manifested by the divine heart within Job, which contained the microcosmic essence of God.

Once Job realized the folly of the change-oriented reality called the physical world, Job then was awakened into the realm of Messianic Consciousness. As stated in Job 42:10, Job was given twice as much as he had before, but what needs to be understood is that Job’s new wealth was not physical in nature, but spiritual. This is expressed in the biblical code of Matthew 6:33: “But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Job, being blessed with twice as much as he had before, would be irrational if it was material in substance, as Job would lose it all again during death. The Job mysteries teach that Job gained access to realms of spiritual wisdom and wealth that could never be relinquished, exhausted, or depleted. Job gained higher knowledge of the God Mysteries and was initiated into the degree of Messianic Consciousness. Man is doomed to perfection and as the sands of life introduce man to friction, through the illusion of struggle and hardship, he/she should not question the divine transcendental essence called God, but remain steadfast and activate that immutable essence that lies within: God.
